this is apparently the reason we haven't as yet seen an X post saying Keona Davis has committed to Miami.

So your assumption is that most schools have multiple productive tight ends returning every year?1 TE doesn't solidify the position group. Maybe those others become productive but up until now they have not and are very unproven. In fact so unproven/unreliable that they were beat out by a QB/Turned TE.
My point is...Like our RB room, the TE room needed another player that has some level of experience...That's what the portal is for.
I read this as Miami is tampering like crazy and having to pay players nil and buyouts so nil deals for lesser players are on holdthis is apparently the reason we haven't as yet seen an X post saying Keona Davis has committed to Miami.

Players have to actually play before they can be considered productive don’t they? None of us are at practice and at some point they are considered “ready to play”. I don’t think too many people were clamoring for us to spend money on a proven tight end in the portal this year when there were obviously way more issues. Also, say what you want about Haarberg but he’s a damn good all around athlete.1 TE doesn't solidify the position group. A damn good athlete but a damn bad football player..Players have to actually play before they can be considered productive don’t they? You’re that worried about losing Haarberg huh?

Nailed it.Just the good ones.
We have a large percentage of our fanbase that looks at our roster as opposed to the 2001 Miami or 2011 Alabama and say we’re lacking. Well no shit. Every year 98% of D1 rosters are lacking compared to last year's NC roster, but we "just don’t have the money.” or “Our staff sucks at recruiting and developing."
I can’t say enough about what Cignetti did these last two years, but I don’t expect anyone else to duplicate it outside the top ten most attractive programs for HS and portal kids.
What did you exactly expect from him this year ? He was an athletic QB turned TE playing his second year at the position. I don’t recall him ever really hurting us too bad. I didn’t agree with all the under center stuff they did with him this year but that’s not his fault.A damn good athlete but a damn bad football player..
That’s how people described me. Minus the damn good athlete part.A damn good athlete but a damn bad football player..
Not portal but Benhart finds a home.
Nailed it.
There are maybe 2 or 3 schools without roster deficiencies. Everyone else is in roughly the same boat as us.
