Stock Market/Investing/Day Trading/Speculative Trading Thread

Today has me feeling like the cheetah in this matchup with the hippo (the market):

That's some funny shit.

ETFs?

Bought SCHD yesterday. Dividend producing and at a good price.

Always a good one to have. If you're going to be buying that on the regular, 2 things:

Make sure you set it up to auto-invest your dividends back into buying more SCHD.
Download the DivTracker app. You can add your purchases and it'll tell you how much you can expect to earn from dividends.

Ive got it set up for auto invest. Good to know on the div tracker.

Anyother good dividend ETF's

I like trying to bargain shop so I know that, VOO and SPY are also similar but on the pricey side. Always shopping the clearance racks.

What’s the best way to get involved with Copper? ETFs, stocks, etc.

Also, I like $HIMS

Appreciate you sharing this - like that HIMS is getting into the manufacturing side. I had ChatGPT help with some research on peptides the other day to build out a portfolio. This is what it came up with:

35% — Core Peptide Manufacturing

Bachem Holding

Role:
Anchor / pure-play peptide torque
Why this weight is high

  • One of the few true peptide specialists
  • Direct beneficiary of GLP-1 + next-gen metabolic peptides
  • Multi-year capacity constraints = pricing leverage

📌 This is your “if peptides win, I win” position.

20% — Purification & Consumables

Repligen

Role:
High-margin toll collector
Why

  • Peptides are purification-intensive
  • Consumables → recurring revenue
  • Benefits when manufacturing complexity increases

📌 This position pays you when peptides get harder to make.

20% — Bioprocessing Infrastructure

Sartorius

Role:
Scale & regulatory moat
Why

  • Single-use systems + chromatography
  • Deeply embedded in GMP workflows
  • EU manufacturing tailwind

📌 Lower volatility, strong compounding.

15% — Life Sciences Tools Hedge

Thermo Fisher Scientific

Role:
Stabilizer / volatility dampener
Why

  • Broad exposure to peptide R&D, testing, QC
  • Less sensitive to peptide hype cycles
  • “Tax on all innovation”

📌 Keeps the sleeve investable through drawdowns.

10% — Conglomerate Optionality

Danaher

Role:
Optional upside + downside protection
Why

  • Cytiva, Pall exposure to biologics & peptides
  • Strong capital allocation
  • Can acquire peptide enablers opportunistically

📌 Quiet M&A leverage.
