The saving money narrative to explain losing commits feels at odds with the “we have all the money we need to compete” narrative.
The only reason its tiresome is because we’re acting like brokies and trying to follow rules in our portal approach and repeatedly getting kicked in the nuts as a result while everyone else plays the actual game around us

Genuinely not trying to start anything or stir any shit by saying this, but I think we can now officially say the dline portal class was a failure considering how apparent the need was going into it. I like the Pitt kid more than most but I highly doubt that him, Stoudmire, and Jones were what we or the staff were anticipating in December.
I like Berrymon a lot too if that ends up happening but he's not helping next year.
Is it possible Rhule fucked up by telling everyone we had a ton of money and players/agents used Nebraska as leverage to negotiate with the school they actually wanted to go too?
He was probably naive to think other teams wouldn’t spend more money going forward.
