I understand competition, but what was the point of signing him.local safety from 2025 class, was ranked as like the 117th best safety in the class. This is dead weight, he will end up at the FCS/D2 level IMO

Low risk, high reward.I understand competition, but what was the point of signing him.
and im sure he required $0 NILLow risk, high reward.
You sign them to keep the instate connections going by saying we still recruit Nebraska kids. Then after a year or two of not working out if they don't work out, we can cut them because 'hey, we need to win by having players step up.' If they do work out, great, you have a good roster player from the state of Nebraska.
I get it. I should have asked, what was the point in signing him specifically. Probably should take a flyer on a Millard South kid if we're hoping for an old school walk on situation.Low risk, high reward.

Too many irish and italians, not enough germans (see Cockeye)Why is high school talent in Nebraska so bad?
Local media seems to over inflate them every year
Damn my danish roots. Why can we be NazisToo many irish and italians, not enough germans (see Cockeye)
And at elevation!Gunnison in the house. At least he'll know how to play in the cold.

7,700ft not too bad. Rhule should move winter conditioning and spring ball up there. Doing matt drills outside in January in Gunny would separate the men from the boys real quick. And at elevation!

I hope by"scouts" what they really mean is people getting in the players DMs to do some tampering"We've had a group of remote scouts that work in the transfer portal year-round. So they're kind of trimming the fat of what's out there," Stewart said on the Husker Signing Day Show. "So when guys do hit the portal we're ready to pivot as fast as we can. It's kind of a hurry up and wait type of approach, where you try to get ahead as much as possible."
And if by people in their DMs, you mean big booty latinas with bags of husker cash...I hope by"scouts" what they really mean is people getting in the players DMs to do some tampering
Why on earth would Donovan Jones transfer??What are your guesses?
I’m gonna say Cortez Mills, Keona Davis, Donovan Jones, Dye Lan Mahomes, and probably a young OL like Brix
His brother is going to Cockeye and his dad I believe is a Hawkeye fan. Also would have a good chance to get drafted. This has been a rumor for awhile that he may leave for Cockeye. Why on earth would Donovan Jones transfer??
