Call Your Shots - 2026 Assistant Coaches

Choices from the couch

OC - Dana Holgorsen
Co-OC/QB - Glenn Thomas
OL - Donovan Raiola
WR - Daikiel Shorts

RB - EJ Barthel
TE - Marcus Satterfield

DC - John Butler
DL - Terry Bradden

LB - Rob Dvoracek
OLB - Phil Simpson
DB - Addison Williams

Emmett gave Berthal another season.
Shorts isn't going anywhere. He actually got the receivers to block for the 1st time in about 7 years

And not separate or catch.

Husker football fans, never disappoint.
Notice how I didn’t point out that they did those things. Catching wasn’t really an issue until yesterday.

I agree that the separation wasn’t great however, there were plenty of times they did separate downfield and the QB just didn’t throw it due to a multitude of timing issues.

There's more to it then catching a ball. Actually, there were some incredible catches in key spots throughout the season. And some lack of physicality & drops as well, in key spots.

The inability to separate at the LOS, no deep threat & inconsistency is why that group was bad this season.

But hey, they blocked well a couple games this season! If we're keeping a WR coach because of his groups blocking, in 2025, Rhule might as well hand the job over to Ron Brown. Then, we'll actually see perimeter blocking in every game. FML.

Fisher got his guys to block too, but also separate & catch balls.
Are you referring to the DB coach Travis Fisher?

I didn’t realize he was pulling double duty.

I think you meant Keith Williams, who yes, 7 years ago actually got results from his receivers like I stated.

I’m as negative as they come on this board, obviously, but no way in hell Rhule runs it back with this defensive staff. He isn’t that dumb.

I don’t see him moving on from Butler or Dvoraceck, unless he gets an offer to move up in the coaching world.

No, Rich Fisher. Derp.

Your gif reaction game backfired.
Cool, I was off on the coach you were talking about.

The thing that sucks about you is anytime someone disagrees with you, you show your ass by being a condescending douche.

I disagree with one thing you said and acted like I offended you.

You were the fucktard that came in here guns a blazing with a shitty replied that backfired.

And didn't know Nebraska had a WR coach named Fisher.

Take your L and move on. Or, head back to On3 with Mongo.

Never been on On3.

If making an observation about quality blocking makes me a fucktard than so be it.

Keep compensating for your little man syndrome. Enjoy the holidays and hope you had a nice thanksgiving 👍🏻

Dana didn’t do as well as I hoped. Think it’s probably mostly a players thing. One of these years the whole OL is the strength of the team needs to actually be true.
