This probably isn’t the best time for this bc emotions are still high, but nothing matters anymore so let’s ride.

Call your shot. Predict which of our assistant coaches WILL or WON’T be here next season. This is not about who you WANT here or not, but who you think will actually stay or leave.

OC - Dana Holgorsen
Co-OC/QB - Glenn Thomas
OL - Donovan Raiola
WR - Daikiel Shorts
RB - EJ Barthel
TE - Marcus Satterfield

DC - John Butler
DL - Terry Bradden
LB - Rob Dvoracek
OLB - Phil Simpson
DB - Addison Williams

ST - Mike Ekeler

Emmett gave Berthal another season.

Bradden is gone. when your guys still line up offsides and can't get the alignment right in week 12 you have failed. I remember a quote of his in fall camp where he said he only taught his DL 1 move it raised a red flag. I thought it was an odd quote, but after seeing his unit play it checks out.

Satterfield inconceivably stays on at about 1/2 the salary

Barthel comes back thanks to EJ, but unless he can recruit 2 solid RBs his room will have a huge dropoff next year

Donny is out. a full divorce from the Raiola family is the only path forward

I remember a quote of his in fall camp where he said he only taught his DL 1 move it raised a red flag.

Context:

“I really believe a guy has one move, a go-to, a counter, and a power,” Bradden explained. “But the main thing is about finishing.”

Even when pressed on specifics, like who on the roster has the best “club rip,” a move he admitted was his personal favorite, Bradden refused to single anyone out. Instead, he made clear that his focus is on overall development across the group.

“Everybody’s developing, everyone has their own move, but they’re getting very, very good at THEIR move,” he said, before doubling down on his core message: “Moves are overrated. It’s about the finish.”

WR - Daikiel Shorts — goes with Holgs

RB - EJ Barthel - Retained
TE - Marcus Satterfield — moves on

DC - John Butler - retained
DL - Terry Bradden - fired
LB - Rob Dvoracek - retained
OLB - Phil Simpson - fired
DB - Addison Williams - retained

I’m honestly not expecting a ton of turnover this offseason

I think Uncle Donnie will be gone and Satterfield will head back down south on his own accord. That’ll be it IMO.

Sadly, I don’t see him firing Butler or Bradden.

Both the coordinators have been so poor, it’s hard to think rationally about what will happen.

Which program that we aspire to become would be willing to take either guy off our hands?

I’m a little surprised by Shorts?

Could see Holgs choosing to leave. I don't think we'll see many changes made by Rhule except for Uncle Donny and maybe Ek. Non-zero chance that Satt takes back over at OC if Holgs bails 🤣

Rhule can’t be serious about improving the run defense if he doesn’t make changes.
