How da fug do you steal $6.7B in bitcoin?

Looks like they mostly stole the money the old fashioned way, then moved it into BTC.

I am curious how the "seizure" went down - probably means they either kept their loot stored on some 3rd party site, kept their login/private key information unsecured on their local devices, or just outright cooperated with authorities.

Dagnabbit. Totally regretting offloading my AMD when it was laboring a while back. I took profits, but missed the "big run up". My fellow Motley Fools are profiting today!

Do you see value in Motley Fool? I looked into it a couple years ago but didn’t pull the trigger
They have tiered services. I subscribe to their entry level service (Stock Advisor) to get their opinions on stonks I wouldn't otherwise be made aware of. They've guided me towards some hella gains over the years (SHOP, PLTR, NVDA, etc.) and most of the mistakes I've made in investing were expensive lessons where I cut against their grain (see above - I sold AMD when they said to hold). Well worth the couple hundred bucks/year to get their perspective and guidance, IMO.

My dad has the same tier as @LoudHogRider and he feeds me info from it regularly, they are right way more than they are wrong. I’ll get my own shortly but it’s been well worth the investment for him and for me from him

Has anyone ever messed with ETFs? Only thing I understand is that they are similar to Mutual funds which I have some with a guy who handles my Roth IRA, otherwise I also do some of my own trading with Schwab. I didn’t realize there was a couple of ETFs out there that track members’ of congress trading (NANC and GOP). I follow the Nancy pelosi trading X handle and it’s done some good for me. Just wondering what to expect with them if and when I buy in (I probably will, I should have some dividend $$ coming soon since we just entered a new quarter).

Is it a newsletter or just something you log into??

Yeah ETFs are your steady way to invest for the long term. For example, I have URA (nuclear), AIQ (AI & Tech), and GRID (infrastructure). Less risk

Really like this sub for market/crypto and economy

From a 10/1 post:

In any case I am holding my bets from the last two weeks including:

Long on AMD -6.37%↓

Long on BBAI 7.46%↑

Long on NB 0.45%↑

I am actively adding to my defense plays including LMT 1.67%↑ LHX 2.32%↑ and PPA 0.62%↑ but at this point MOST of my spare capital is allocated for alt coins if I continue to like what I see with crypto majors.

Website with periodic email correspondence. They also have member-only participation events where they live stream Motley Fool thought leader discussions on different topics (e.g. AI, Crypto, specific industries or stonks, etc.). They also provide a monthly stock pick, a "top ten" for investors and a new top ten for "just getting started" investors, etc. Lots of online research available as well. I will freely admit I don't take advantage of all of their services.

Please bear in mind that "Stock Advisor" is their entry level membership. The stock picks you'll get have previously been made to higher tiered services, but they're ones that MF continues to recommend. They don't flip/flop a lot on their picks, but from time to time they do put some of them in their "penalty box" if some kind of fuckery happens and they loose faith in leadership, AI disrupts their business model and they think it's a good idea to cash out, etc.

If you want a full-fledged investor adviser relationship, they have that, too. They also have "mutual funds" (e.g. TMFC, TMFE) that track market segments if you prefer a big basket approach vs. individual asset.

Fees to own an ETF are substantially lower than those to own a mutual fund, even though they are essentially the same thing. They range from 0.03% to 0.08%, depending on the ETF. Honestly, I'd recommend moving away from the mutual funds with your current advisor and finding one who runs a low-cost, in-house ETF strategy instead of using a money manager. I know a guy, btw😉. With a mutual fund, you're essentially paying your advisor a fee to manage the relationship, the money manager's fee, and the fees within the mutual fund (such as 12B-1 and administrative fees).

ETFs are usually more tax efficient as well
