There’s a world of difference between Pelini’s 9 wins and winning 9 now in the P2 era IMO.

Depending on the schedule you draw in the B1G or SEC, sure. Our schedules the last two years were certainly no tougher than anything Pelini’s teams went up against, likely at least a little easier. That isn’t static, so next years might be tougher.

She’s always sounded just like most of our fans when we joined the B1G.

‘Penn State will own the B1G again with Franklin'.

Now they’ve had their years and he did win one conference title in ’16, but they haven’t owned shit.

That said, gas him and see where that gets you.

What’s been yaked about since he got here. Third years at Temple/Baylor with double digit wins and a shot at a CCG. Breakout, not slow progression. I’m also not the one who set that expectation.

For me, we win 10 with no CCG appearance and I’ll absolutely call that a breakout season.

I don’t see that happening, but would absolutely love it.

Fair enough. My definition is increasing win total by 50% so a 9-3 finish would meet my definition. 3 or 4 losses would have to be the new floor going forward.

10 games a year not the same now as when Pelini got 10. That gets you in playoffs most years probably.

I picked this team to go 9-3 coming into the season and would be perfectly happy with that.

I’m also in 100% agreement on the floor being 4 losses. Can’t throw a 7-5 or 6-6 year in there and say ‘It’s a process’.

Again, it’s not static.

Winning 10 with our ’24 or ’25 schedules likely leaves us outside the playoffs.
