No. We seem to have a money issue as our talent is young and meh at many spots. It’s either that or he’s holding too many players in the younger classes. Idk I just don’t think NU has money to buy a big name and players tbh. Would like some better assistants at RB and TE at least.

We are where I thought we were.
We’re better, but not great. Still an 8 or 9 win team, but line play was horseshit today and we proved we aren’t ready to show up when it’s all on the line.
Now we do have a ton of youth that will look better (if they’re still here) in future years, but need some dudes on the roster to either show up and play their asses off, or (specific to the lines) move on and be replaced.

What will be interesting is pending an omega transfer class at numerous positions will DR want to hang out for another year when NU will not have a great chance or be a favorite to go to the playoffs? Idk it will be an interesting decision for him.

Biff's Butthole Surfers should have won by 14-17 if it wasn’t for a Hail Mary at the end of half and playing safe on the last touchdown drive of the game by us. Our line on both sides is pathetic. I was not a fan of all at Butler taking over on the defense and the oline continues to show its ugly face.

We’re two decades removed. Also shows.
They still know how to win. Expect to win.
Their roster is also at a different level than ours, regardless of what we want to think.

That Hail Mary was either genius or crazy luck. I think the coaches knew we were outgunned & coached for a close game but some teams win games in the big ten by doing just that

I don’t disagree with you, but this is the aggravating part for so many.
We’re at week four and we’re already talking about ‘This is going to come together next year’.
I’m not down on this team, but this was not a great look today.

I don’t think you can say we are for sure a 8-9 win team. I still can’t see us beating USC and PSU. Minnesota will be tough on the road too.

If we are relying on hail Mary’s to beat decent B1G teams lead by freshman QBs we are in trouble.
