Having one true veteran DT thats a mauler in the middle would make me feel a lot better. And I worry about RB depth.
Ditto

But one thing that made me feel better - Benning on the pregame show - talked a lot about how Bradden coaches his DL to be truly versatile. I am not going to pretend to know if that's true or not, but I do believe we have some athletes that IF they are truly able to play all across the line, make me feel better about our chances at least until we find "the guy" in the middle. He was talking about how a Chris Jones at KC can play every spot across the line. So taking that approach, I look at all of the DL spots outside of Jeudy and RVP at Nose, who are both just big men:

Lefotu @ 6'3 300, Jaylen George 6'3 285, Cam Lenhardt would be small but athletic in pass situations at 6'3 270, Keona Davis is 6'5 275 in pass situations

...and all of a sudden I feel like we have 6 options, based on situation, to figure it out. I do trust that Jeudy/RVP can be large strong men that can plug the run. Then think of Nwaneri, Lenhardt, Keona Davis, and Dasan McCullough rushing you at 6'7, 6'3, 6'5, 6'5 and all athletic guys who can beat their man and get arms up.

My point is simply this: While there isn't a lot of production I can find PLENTY of reason for optimism if the goal of our DL is to be truly versatile.

While it doesn't make ease the concerns about the lack of running back depth, I think the vast majority of teams are concerned about depth at one or more position groups given the nature of CFB today. This has probably led to seeing that increased versatility along both lines. More and linemen can play or have to be able to play multiple spots.

My uncle played d tackle in college and was pretty good. He always tells me it’s about the Jimmy and joes and having a certain toughness on the d line. He always jokes you can be one of the dumber guys and be a d lineman. It’s one of the least complicated positions to play. I will also Chris Jones is a freak, and most players will never be able to play close to his level.

Please don't take anything I said to discredit a hall of fame NFL player like Jones - but I get more juiced when I think we've got a coach that is plenty comfortable moving his best linemen around to create utter CHAOS for these fat bearcats

Can we make a rule that in order to get the Sandy Vag tag removed you have to upload a selfie holding a sign that says "I douched my pussy and now I feel better"?
I approve. I’ll wear this badge with honor, so it doesn’t concern me.
