Sign Up Now!My kids got autographs from the DL tonight and Nwaneri looks completely different than anyone else in that group.Talked to a high school coach last night that was at practice. He kept saying what an absolute freak McCullough is. Can play anywhere on the field.
He was also really impressed with Nwaneri. Said he hasn't seen someone that looks and moves like him since Randy Gregory.

The first portion of Nebraska’s Big Red Preview practice showcased some 11-on-11 work, which gave fans an idea of where things may currently stand with the Huskers’ depth chart through one week of camp.
Unlike in Monday’s media viewing portion of the schedule, Elijah Pritchett was working at left tackle with the first team offensive line, while Gunnar Gottula with the second team. Right tackle also had a change with Teddy Prochazka in for Tyler Knaak. The rest of the starting line remained the same with Henry Lutovsky at left guard, Justin Evans at center and Rocco Spindler at right guard.
Quarterback Dylan Raiola was strong in that period, completing three of his four pass attempts.
Nebraska’s defensive unit lined up with Cam Lenhardt, Elijah Jeudy and Keona Davis on the defensive line. Marques-Watson Trent, Javin Wright and Dasan McCullough were at linebacker. Ceyair Wright and Andrew Marshall were at cornerback, with Malcolm Hartzog at nickel.
Marques Buford and DeShon Singleton lined up at safety.
Nebraska’s running backs all stood out in the 11-on-11 period. Emmett Johnson had a couple of nice runs. Mekhi Nelson looked explosive coming out of the backfield o catch a pass from Raiola and Conor Booth also had a very long run with the backup group.
Keelan Smith also looked very physical, running through a defender after making a catch. In wideout-cornerback drills, Smith also had a nasty route against Andrew Marshall , leading to a big catch. Quinn Clark also had a couple of big catches during the same drill.
Dont forget about true freshman Cortez Mills, too, who also had some moments (as well as some drops) throughout practice, including a late touchdown catch from Raiola.
On defense, Donovan Jones made a couple of nice plays on the second-team defense in a trenches drill (everyone outside of wideouts and secondary running a play), while Jeremiah Charles had a good pass backup in wideout-cornerback one-on-ones
Vincent Shavers also made a couple of nice plays during his reps with the first-team defense.
In field goal work, Kyle Cunanan went four-for-four on his attempts. John Hohl went three-for-three . Tristan Alvano also made his only attempt.
Kamdyn Koch and Jalyn Gramstad were holders during the period.
Jacory Barney, Marshall and Isaiah Mozee made up the punt returner group.
Archie Wilson, while known for his roll-out punts, looked smooth going through a traditional punting motion in attempts to down the inside the 10-yard line. And yes, he used both feet during the drill.
Dane Key, Trent Uhlir, Kwinten Ives and Gabe Moore were all in yellow jerseys, signifying they were limited.
Jaylen George and Turner Corcoran were in green non-contact uniforms.
One scary moment came in wideout-cornerback drills when Nyziah Hunter bang his head into the padding behind the end zone and remained on the ground for a brief moment.
Hunter got back to his feet and was able to continue to practice.
Brice TurnerWho is #40 working with the DBs. Dude looks huge. Had some pop on the clips I watched
Numbers might not be right though. I saw a smaller guy wearing 30 with the rbs but doesn't match any of the 30s on the roster.Who is #40 working with the DBs. Dude looks huge. Had some pop on the clips I watched
Rhule didn't mention anything but he was on the bike with a yellow jersey. He didn't practice yesterday either. Hopefully just precautionary. Is it RIP already for Dane Key?
