Keep them sprinklers runnin
I farm in northeast Nebraska - West Point area. After the last few years I can’t believe I’m saying this, but, my bottom/flat farm ground needs a bit of a break from the rain. Little dry weather won’t hurt a thing for us, beans are turning a little light green and corn is starting to burn the bottom leaves (lack of nutrients because they have leached away). The funny thing about this year is the way the storms have been it’s been raining heavier over my irrigated farm ground than it has over my dryland.

We've always had Summertime afternoon rain showers here in Western NC, but this year has been very different. We're getting the showers, but the amount of water that falls feels triple. Every storm is the heaviest rain, and there is a flash flood in the region almost daily. It's been a lot of work to stay on top of blight in the tomatoes, and every storm brings down sunflowers with the weight of water. It's been wild really.

Loving that I'm finally getting pool weather... Between the days in the low 80's and the rain, haven't been a whole lot of days where it feels good to be in the pool, even with the water heated...

Nothing better than logging out at 5, throwing some trunks on, grabbing a beer and my hammock float, and jumping in the pool for an hour.

The crabgrass is loving the nuclear heat & corresponding watering needed to keep the lawn alive. Gonna be some work to do when things cool off a bit.
The edge of my sidwalk by the street is getting just pummeled by the heat and sedgeweed. Only one crabgrass spot by the sidwalk so I'm still satisfied, but the sedgeweed looks rough if I don't mow about every 3 days.
