He’s a good teammate and system player in HCFH’s offense. Heard that CJ Wilcher’s dad got in his ear about how he needs to go somewhere else and be a star. Was communicating with NU players during the season.
Cam Mack was a desperation juco where they knew the headaches they were taking on. That is the type of player weak recruiting programs take on. NU continues to be a very weak high school recruiting team. To constantly bring in middling transfers in hope it all gels and they catch fire is again more of a desperate recruiting strategy vs a sustainable and more easily project able for long term success.
Cam Mack was never a 4 star? If you’re insinuating you’d rather have Lawrence than a 4 star SG transfer, I’d love to hear the reason why? Lawrence was the 158th ranked SG in the portal.
Mack was a superior basketball player. Clearly had problems that went beyond playing basketball.
If you legitimately didn't see the talent on the roster last year, I don't know what to tell you. That was easily a tournament team (which is what the goal should be at this point, not the expectation).
It was Brice Williams (the best Nebraska basketball player of all time) and a bunch of shit. If you think that roster had talent outside of Brice, you don’t know basketball. I actually think the team overachieved given the lack of talent on the roster.

I mean he wasn’t even that talented, couldn’t shoot, too small for the b10. But for Nebraska standards I agree, if he learned to play team basketball he would’ve been solid. It wasn’t in his DNA though, never would’ve happened.

Lawerence was a priority to get back based on fit but tons of players at the same level as him in the portal. Still happy he is back but talking about our 12-2 start is a wash. Super easy non conference. St. Mary’s was good, Pickle Smoochers wasn’t playing great early in the year and UCLA ended the season with pretty close to the same record as us. Last years team was a group of misfits. Hopefully it goes better this year with some shooters.
