So I know it doesn’t matter now, but you can easily tell the difference between each quarterback with how they handle the press conference questions.

Danny seems the most poised out of the three of them. I’m excited to see how they develop over this year.

Totally expected, but Ravioli is not great at press conferences

“On his playing style, Haarberg said some of the hits he took last year accumulated and grew into bigger issues that prevented him from operating at full speed. Still wants to be a physical downhill runner this year but wants to be smarter about taking unnecessary hits as well.”

Hopefully nobody runs into him while he’s holding a clipboard on the sidelines this year!

Quick hits, news and notes from the Thursday appearances of offensive coordinator Marcus Satterfield and quarterbacks coach Glenn Thomas.

— Satterfield said Thomas' presence makes it easy for him to go in and out of the tight end room. Satterfield said he has still been involved with coaching quarterbacks since he is going to be the play caller.

— Satterfield stopped short of saying tight end Thomas Fidone is set for a breakout season, but said Fidone, who was Nebraska's primary tight end last season, is set up for a strong year.

"He's set mentally and physically to have a really good year…we have a lot of high expectations for him and having the pleasure of watching him run around through five practices, he's moving around really, really well and has a good understanding of our offense. He's getting a lot of balls thrown at him and he's catching the ball and running after the catch."

— Satterfield said he and Thomas play well off one another in the meeting room, noting that Thomas is the calm one in the relationship.

— The passing game is getting a fair amount of attention on offense this spring. Nebraska will continue to run the ball with intent, but Satterfield said the team needs to get more efficient in the passing game.

"We're going to throw the ball," Satterfield said. "We have to be able to throw the ball. I think we're always going to find a way to run the ball. As you saw last year, we were able to run the ball well, but there are going to come times that in order to win the game you have to throw the ball. We've just really been focusing on our passing game and pass protection and route running."

— Satterfield said he and the coaches watched Dylan Raiola and Daniel Kaelin completing passes so far this spring, and it's easy to forget that the players are just in their fourth and fifth practices of the spring. Satterfield said both quarterbacks are ahead of schedule.

— The wide receiver room has a lot of players who can make plays, and guys with speed, Satterfield said.

— Oregon transfer Dante Dowdell is a physical, downhill runner, Satterfield said.

"Even in thud (period) he tries to run through your face," Satterfield said.

— Wide receiver Demitrius Bell, who redshirted last season, has a special ability to make plays after the catch, Satterfield said.

— Glenn Thomas said the volume of reps each of the quarterbacks has received so far this spring has been helpful. "How do you get to be a better player? You play," Thomas said. He noted that how quarterbacks fare when the perfect play isn't called is particularly instructive.

— Thomas said both freshman quarterbacks are natural quarterbacks who throw a catchable ball.

— Thomas said he's "not looking for that at all" when it comes to a quarterback separating himself from the pack early in the spring.
