I wonder if Turd could be using this as leverage to maybe restructure things. The shift on who he reported to seemed unprecedented.

This is exactly where I am at, too. If the admin is rotten again, this is one way to get some shit either sorted out and he stays. Or, he jumps off the ship before it sinks. He takes some shrapnel in the process, but he sees that tsunami of shit coming from miles away and gets paid bank to resurrect A&M's athletic department.

Did Texas A&M hire an agency to look for ADs? Like places normally do with head coaches? So my questions is does Turd have his name in with said agency meaning he is looking to leave regardless? Or did A&M approach him un-provoked? That again adds more questions about stability of the administration above Turd.

I could be crazy but it does seem like it came from Nebraska's side which would lead to a more optimistic outlook than if it originated on T A&M's side. If it was on A&M's side it would seem to implicate more confidence and that the process was closer to a done deal.

Is this a move by A&M to try and force him to take the job by "leaking it" even though he hasn't decided? Let the public outcry make Nebraska look bad, trash his name, etc. and he goes running into A&M's arms. I'd hope he'd be intelligent enough to not fall for it. That's a dirty game I can see A&M playing.

I hear ya, I'm just curious what leadership issues could be happening? Turd was given that special setup where he only reported to the University President instead of the UNL Chancellor, now he doesn't even have a fulltime boss while they search for a replacement, he got a gigantic raise and contract extension, he was heading up huge expensive landscape-changing projects, he seemed to have it made at NU... What in the world could he want that he wasn't getting? Is Jim Pillen really that big of a meddling asshole?

many weren’t sold on Turd when NU hired him. Now the sky is falling when a few years ago we hired “a mid-major guy that just cut sports.”
