My wife booked Casa Bonita tickets on 8/31

Casa Bonita was a childhood highlight of every Colorado trip. Waterfalls, cliff divers, fake gun fights, arcade, mariachi bands, exploring caves... I've had dreams about that place as an adult and I haven't been there in 30 years.

Food was abysmal...other than the Sopapillas which were great but you paid for the "atmosphere" .... which in the eyes of this then 8 year old, was five-star.

They say that the food is better now after the remodel

Is that place not open during the week? Who plans shit on Saturdays during CFB season?

I will be taking my kids the next time we are out West. I'm hoping it's better, but it won't really matter because Casa Bonita is pure grade A nostalgia for me.

We had very close friends that lived in Denver that we vacationed with for years and much to their chagrin, us kids drug them to Casa Bonita every time we were out there.

Get your name on the list for tickets before you head out! I’m not sure how it works but some people wait for months before they get the email invite

Thanks for the tip. It will likely be next year before we get out there. If I'm not mistaken, they are in some type of "soft open" test phase right now?

How should I handle this? Go to Casa Bonita but tell the kids we are running through it like Cartman in that South Park episode? Skip it? Make them turn the game on?
Casa Bonita > Disney World.

Go there & DVR the game to watch with a late start. Football is more fun when you can skip like half the commercial breaks anyway.

Surrounded by screaming kids?

Having to watch the game on Mute and forced to mostly follow it on Twitter?

Drowning your Husker sorrows in Mexican beer?

No wifi and spotty LTE service?

SOUNDS LIKE A NORMAL SATURDAY TO ME
