Special Teams Coach Hot Board

So pretty much last year, a RB and special teams saved our season.

And now we didn't bring in a RB replacement and we lost our top two special teams coaches to other teams.

The fact that the school Martin is going to is school that is a K-12 suggests to me he wasn't getting the job, but I don't know who is.

Agreed.

I know Texas high schools pay real money for coaches, but no way he’s getting what he’s have to take over the STC job at any B1G school.

His predecessor at the HS left to take the AC-TE job at OU.

Humphrey only graduated from college in 2022, so I am guessing Maher.

"I think the secret weapon we've had is Brett Maher," Rhule added. People might think Maher just works on technique with kickers, punters and long snappers, the coach added. "But that guy really, really understands special teams."

BTW, Humphrey's social media now says, "Assistant Special Teams", not Analyst.

Maher would be interesting. He's smart as a whip and knows the kicking game, so I have no doubts he can teach that. But I am curious how he does on coverages and the return game.
