This is a great get ! I remember him from our matchups versus Rutgers this year and I was impressed with him. The best part is he’s only a sophomore.

I have Griffiths as a 9/10 on the Kendall Blue scale of a dude who will show up in a major conference and look like he has no idea how to play basketball.Would be down for this strategy - bring a kid in, let him feel and learn the culture/system, let him go somewhere else to get more minutes and develop, then bring him home for a Final Four run!

Some guys just need another year. Look at Pryce Sandfort moving from Cockeye to Nebraska. He did OK at Rutgers playing the B1G schedule, but it remains a mystery to me why he never panned out here .. not sure if he just didn't work in Hoiberg's system or what.

agree, some players just don't fit a coaches system. Or maybe he needs to be in a system where he can be more of a Chucker or wide open play. This season he's only shooting 43.8% from the floor which is 10% higher than he averaged his 1st 2 seasons. There is no doubting his talent but as we've seen this season "Team" can win over talent. Walk-Ons Hoiberg & Jacobson aren't our most talented players but they play within Fred's system thus are major reasons for our success. So... they both impoved by about 10 points a game? Sounds like a pretty good comparison to me. 😉Sandfort still nearly averaged 9 points per game last season at Cockeye. Gavin was just awful last year. And he seemed scared and tentative because the kid can jump out of the gym. He has freakish hops.

Why do you have a ? next to Berke? Do you think he may not be back? Here's what 2026-2027 looks like
? - Frager - Sandfort - Berke (?) - Oogie
Leaves us Jacobsen, Essegian, Rhymes & Curtis off the bench.
We lose 5 seniors, with 3 of them main contributors. 2 incoming freshmen so 3 slots open to fill.
Love the potential of Oogie but tough part is we really don't have much to go on. Or is the back injury something that is career threatening? Berke & Curtis aren't big threats from the 3 pt line so I would expect Hoiberg to bring in a proven big that can shoot the 3 at a decent percentage. Feels like we have a decent amount of 6-4 to 6-7 SG/SF/Wing types that can make 3's. Probably need a PG. Wondering if we will have any attrition to the Portal whether it is because they aren't going to play or on the other side teams start throwing big coin at players like Frager & Sandforth. Here's what 2026-2027 looks like
