The 100 Largest Landowners in the US

Owning >3 acres likely puts you in the top 20–40% of all U.S. landowners. Three acres wouldn't crack the top millions—there are likely tens of millions of people/parcels with more than 3 acres when including all rural homes, small farms, wooded lots, etc.
Yes.... my question was tongue and cheek. Although based on where I live the per acre cost is probably towards the higher end.

I live in just over 20 acres mostly flat land. Been in the wife’s family since the Oklahoma land run. Bought it off the wife’s aunt a few years back.
Used to be part of a dairy farm then raised quarter horses. So soil actually decent for Oklahoma.

In the process of attempting to start and orchard. Had 3 wells dug with solar for power. And finished trenching and piping 15 hydrants.

Have the rows mostly done.

planting 50 Fuji and 50 winesap apples, 50 red haven peach’s, 15 methely plums, 10 moonglow 10 Keifer pears, and 5 celest and 5 brown turkey figs.

Take a few years to get them going but should be fun.

We also attach to family land on another 60 acres. Have some pigs and cows over there. Might invest into some more and see what I can do store wise.
Has been fun planning it all out.

My 5-10 year goal is to purchase 80+ acres in NW MO or SE NE. The goal is to buy a combo deer and waterfowl property. I've lost access to 90%+ of the ground I grew up hunting, and any lease worth a shit costs 75% of what an annual land payment is.

I will continue to live like a poor until I have this done.
