This definitely fits the m.o. of Raiola though.

He was at Burleson HS as a sophomore in high school. We're talking like less than a top 30 DFW area school. He was playing well but on a bad team. Then he searched out bigger programs and ended up in AZ and then eventually Buford which is a premier high school program...coincidentally also green.

Pretty similar here..Nebraska isn't a top 30 program right now, made his way to Oregon which is a...top 8 program.

I don't know, I'm not mad at Raiola. I just know what the media is going to do now that a 5 star QB is at a premier program.

Media and fans are justified convincing themselves this will work since Oregon has a record of rehabbing 5* transfers eg Nix. Nice move for Dylan, he'll no doubt put up nice numbers in that system. Someone else mentioned Dom must be humbled, but IMO they came out in a much better situation here.

Interestingly Oregon has their own legacy QB in Akili Smith JR who has some legs, so if he thought the calls for TJ were bad when he struggled with pressure just wait until he has some adversity in Eugene.

What story is this you're talking about? I don't buy that they are setting market prices because they aren't getting any DL transfers.
I’m not directing this at you per se, I just keep hearing a lot of speculation that the boosters aren’t providing the money they promised because we lost the last few games. It’s been all over this thread several pages back. I just get annoyed by some treating it as fact when no one has actually said this is the case.

Apologies if I came at you a bit, I’m just as frustrated as everyone else, but I don’t care for some making pure speculation a “fact”.

Still need a RB and a LG.

Our DL is still young. We will probably be pretty athletic though and it sounds like that's what Aurich wants (correct me if I'm wrong).

We can probably pencil in Jones and Marshall at CB and McDougle at FS. Lots of bodies are going to be fighting for the SS and Nickel roles. I wonder if they'll move Guthrie to SS.

I mean. its a worse look to have the money and not able to get any fucking players lmao

2 more years of this shit
Money isn’t everything to some of these kids. You are kidding yourself if you think we can just buy anyone we want. They want to win championships and that is not us right now. We are not that caliber of program right now.

the rumor about NU making "market leading" offers sounds a lot like the kind of rumor a coaching staff might want to start in order to excuse their failures. there's no way we're offering market leading money and not even getting visits

@Dawgsauce what's the status on Georgia's RB situation? Assuming Nate still has that spot locked down & expected to be the dude for 2026. I like Dowdell a lot as a change of pace back, but he left here to try and be the top dog somewhere & I'm a little surprised to see him take a gig where there doesn't look like he has a shot at significant PT barring injury.

Greg Smith:

"Have learned that promising linebacker Vincent Shavers has signed a new deal to stay at Nebraska. Shavers had 61 tackles with 7.5 tackles for loss, 1.0 sack and one FF this season."
Kid needs to be way better next year. Hope we didn’t drop a bag on him.
