It just makes me sick watching Indiana play

In fairness to our defense, a lot of the kids missing tackles are really young. I don’t know why fundamentals at the high school level are what they are, but it seems to be more about being athletic and doing your thing than sound football basics. We sure as hell don’t seem to be able to teach those very quickly and need to focus more on either finding players with better basics coming out of high school, getting better at teaching or really both if we want to return to playing meaningful football past Thanksgiving. We clean up missed tackles and yac, and 2025 was a different year.
It got better under White, but we regressed pretty quickly this year.
They are so damn good. And it absolutely should piss you off as a fan. But I like watching them and hope they win it.
They aren't even close to doing what Oregon, Miami, or Texas Tech did from an NIL standpoint.
I'm actually rooting for Indiana and Ole Miss to make the championship game. I think that would be an entertaining game. I absolutely hated Cignetti from the "google me" comment about him winning when he was hired. I think he is an absolute "red ass" and I am now here for it. There should be a 30 for 30 for what he has done with Indiana football.
Not even close. I bet you Tech didn’t spend as much as Oregon on its current roster either.
What’s scary is Tech is now attacking high school recruiting with their NIL like they do the portal.
I don't think it would an "entertaining" game at all. I think Indiana would win by 25 points. I will be shocked if Ole Miss beats Miami. The Hurricanes are really dictating things on the D-line with Reuben Bain, Ahkeem Mesidor, and David Blay.
Ole Miss won't be able to block those guys at all. And the Rebels defense actually kind of sucks.
Miami might actually get the break of a lifetime. Its really difficult to beat a great team twice. And I wouldn't be surprised if Oregon can find a way to beat the Hoosiers in their second try.
Indiana would kick the shit out of Miami's undisciplined ass. But they will be much more competitive vs. Oregon.
They have to do it that way because they got away with wire transfers last season to their portal guys. In a sense, they were giving cash advances to early entrants. "You sign today, we will wire you $250k by 3 pm today, and then pay the rest of the $500k owed during the season."

I had Cignetti with a passion and I’d love nothing more than to see Ole Miss win a title after Lame Kitten took his ball and ran off to Baton Rouge.

While NU compliance and boosters wring their hands and are three steps behind. The tradition continues.
Not sure that was on the compliance. If you're going to transfer money, you need to have that money available immediately. Probably on the boosters there. Did Nebraska NIL have a $16 million account set up to instantly send out loads of cash? I doubt that.
NU compliance has been overly conservative and tight for decades while all the top schools do what it takes to win. We couldn’t even half way fund NIL until this coming season. Teams had $40mm rosters and before rev share NU was at what $10-15mm? We’re just not competitive with the top teams and are ok with it bc conservative softies. We have to be at the forefront or as we’ve seen have a roster like we have with lack of starting B1G level players and zero quality depth.
Damn. Tough crowd.

I was up early, went to the gym, suffered through some stupid conference calls and now I’m looking for inspiration in the form of transfers in….or out. I’d like to have something positive to cling to knowing we have 245 days of yeasty vag’s complaining about everything between us and Ohio.

But its hard to hate someone who has completely backed it up in full, at a school like Indiana. Truly a 1 of 1 masterclass in college football coaching. Alabama has far superior athletic talent at a combine and they got dominated because Indiana has way better football players.
Kadyn Proctor is a top 5 pick tackle and got smoked by Indianas DL shooting gaps to stop runs. That kinda shit happened every single snap.
