This is exactly where I’m at. We were matched up against a 10-2 team ranked 15th. You can argue all you want about them being a Big 12 team but they are a good team. We aren’t.

I think the only reason we got the bowl we did is because our fans travel well. There are other matchups we could have done better.

At the end of the day, we need a big overhaul in the portal. My fear is we can throw money at everyone. But the elite players want to play for elite teams.
Re-bolded - it’s not an I think - Dean literally said as much on their pod this week. NU jumped Minnesota and Illinois for this slot because of the butts in fannies aspect. We should’ve been playing New Mexico on Saturday with Minnesota or Illinois here based purely on results.

Honestly - I don’t really know what anyone expected today other than what played out

- Horrendous matchup for us because Utah is a real football team with great line play and we’re not

- Lateef not it

- Best WR and RB on an already putrid offense opted out

- Defense hasn’t stopped a nose bleed once we played teams with a pulse

This year’s team will not be next year’s team. If it is, Rhule will be fired. Not even trying to cope or whatever, there will be 20+ new players on next year’s roster. Always love watching NU play but anyone who expected we’d magically be more competitive or whatever was expecting something not based in reality
This is the logical take. I’ve been saying we get boat raced by Utah the whole time. The 1st quarter was fun and all but not sustainable under the deficiencies on the roster.

Thanks for assist. You are correct

We’re not

We’re not cooked.

He made coaching decisions we only wish we had with Riley and Frost.

It’s a different game and our coach adjusts.

We’ll be fine.
I'd love to believe that but we're going into year 4 and we have nothing to fall back on. What foundation has he built? An offensive or defensive identity? Depth? Discipline? Toughness?

We're still the most empty calories program in CFB.

Husker fans go for the party. Caring about winning is secondary now.
I've only been to away games the last 10 years or so since I'm far removed from NE and that's the case.

Every game is a bunch of people getting together and they have fun hanging out. Which is actually pretty cool and makes going to those game fun regardless of outcome.

Listening to the post-game presser. Rhule needs to really fucking stop talking about taking accountability and shit and just say "It's bad and I'm going to fix it"

He's a great speaker, but he tries too hard to sell himself at times. Just shut the fuck up and go build. Don't talk about any other team, any other coach. You make a lot of fucking money and you are in charge. We all know college football is hard and wild but I'm hearing a lot of deflections.

Just shut up and go win. Winners win.

People meme about Cignetti, and I get it...he's a unicorn. I'm not a pro-coach yadda yadda, but Cignetti wins because he is who his team needs to be to win. Everyone laughed at the "Google me, I win" thing...but Cignetti is the type of coach you want a football program to look to when they are unsure. I honestly think Rhule and his time-out issue is indicative of the problem. If the team isn't lined up and he has to burn a timeout, he should be in their fucking asses to get their shit in order. I get it's not his style and he wants to be the wholesome guy...but this team is soft since Tony White left, because Tony would fucking yell. He wasn't great but he had an identity....something we lack in a glaring way.

It's drinky time, Happy New Years you cunts.

What? Tech was dead even with Mahomes. And they were God awful in the time between mahomes and NIL.
Texas Tech has been competitive every year except '19 and '20 if you're going on our guidelines. If you're calling us competitive at our state of 7-6 and barely making bowls.

Foundations take time. Sometimes you get a Cignetti, sometimes you get a Ferentz. Rhule is in the middle.

Ok, back from a good workout, booking a trip to the UK, and a nice glass of ER.

Who’s crashing out!?!?

Hope there’s 30…. Corey Campbell seems to have made our players slower…..

We're going into year 4 with as many questions as year 1. We reset yearly because Rhule does not know what he's doing.

Was getting blown out by Minnesota, Cockeye, and Utah meeting year 3 expectations for you?

That and if you want to measure him against "a Ferentz' we are due for 11 wins next season, as Kirk did in year 4.
