Sam Hoiberg said himself that he went the wrong way. He was supposed to go right and there were cutters coming from the left. He made the pass to Lawrence and Lawrence hit the shot. Easy Peasy.
I thought Sam was going to cut to the basket for the layup and think the shot was there. I kinda panicked when he didn't take it and kicked it out to JLaw

Some pretty reasonable takes like this guy ..

Frank
Good game @GBR. Thanks for joining us. Wish we played better but yall have a great squad. Wish you the best for the rest of the season, until we see you again.
Yeah there were a few solid takes but then a lot of how much they suck because they should never lose to us at home and they'll get bounced second round of ncaa tourney.

Looks like a Husker board after a football loss. Lol at some of their fans saying they might not finish over .500 in the Big Ten. They have a really good and talented team.
That’s why I found it so amusing, feels familiar to read lol

@ basketball guys…. at what point would it make more sense to just apply for medical redshirt for Oogie and get him full go next year? Is there a deadline?

Next year could have
5) Oogie
4) Berke
3) Pryce
2) Frager
1) portal PG

I like that lineup

I would guess they know now whether he'd get it and my sense is that practically if they can't get him in the court for UND and UNH, he won't play this season

The decision has to be made by the end of the first half of the season (Indiana on Jan 10). He can play in games up to that point and still medically redshirt so its worth getting him some minutes and seeing how he holds up.

Next year will work itself out. If Oogie is healthy, play him.
Agreed, but theres a deadline on the medical redshirt and i believe its approaching

He has 1 year for us. I’d hate to waste it when we are already a wagon with the current 8-9 dudes we’re runnin

I don't think that's unreasonable, but I do worry over the course of the year that Nebraska needs a 4th big to insure against injury and foul trouble, at minimum, and potentially to offer a change of pace look by going double big with Mast.

Always building corn!! Trust me i want Oogie to play, but Garcia is coming on strong and i’d rather get 30+ games of Oogie at 100 percent than 10 or so games at 100 percent

Garcia is a solid role player. Oogie is a much better offensive player, rebounder, and athlete.

This team has some hidden warts related to defensive rebounding and offensive scoring lulls when Mast and Pryce need to sit. Oogie can change both scenario. Garcia gaining more comfort at this level is just the icing on the cake.

Also, I don't think Fred would even be talking about him getting practice reps if they didn't think he would be healthy this month.

Next question… is Leo going to be our next stud face up 5 that freds offense revolves around? Or will that come via portal
