If I was a Pickle Smoochers fan, if there’s any left after this season, I’d be very concerned about their future after McDermott. Big East isn’t an overly deep conference, but they are very top heavy and Pickle Smoochers could get buried behind UConn, St. John’s and Villanova. And when Xavier and Marquette get their shit together. (Still can’t believe Xavier hired Petino the younger, terrible coach) Nevertheless, Big East is only a 2-3 bid league. Pickle Smoochers could be permanently locked out of NCAA tournament if the next coach can’t replicate McDermott’s success.

Think Huss is pretty good and was around the program for quite a while. Got High Point to the tourney and gave Purdue a game.

I’m sure he is. But until I see it I’m not convinced he has the recruiting/coaching chops to succeed in the Big East. We’ll probably find out cause they’ve pretty much telegraphed their plan of succession.
