Notre Dame

You forget that ND thumbs their noses at everyone and anyone. Nobody will be good enough and the ACC doesn't have any Catholic schools.

ND doesn't care about Dook, Wake Forest, SMU, nor Stanford.

ND wants to play G6 games against other Catholic schools and then beat their chest that they should be #1.

Douchebag of the year goes to ND.
ACC does have another Catholic school already; Boston College. It is also a Jesuit school just like Notre Dame.

Notre Dame played a harder schedule than Nebraska this year. Crazy dickriding.

ND has 2 playoff teams on their schedule so I’d probably give them a slight edge. Outside of that I’d rather have ND’s schedule. USC is a wash cause we both played them. But here’s the rest of our schedules head to head… (only top 75 FPI)

Nebraska:
Cincinnati
Michigan
Cockeye
Penn State
Minnesota
Northwestern
Utah*

Notre Dame:
Miami
aTm
Boise St
NC State
Navy
Pitt

Nebraska - Tier 1 teams (Top 50 FPI)
Michigan
USC
Cockeye
Utah*

Notre Dame - Tier 1
Miami
aTm
USC

Nebraska - Tier 2 (Top 75 FPI)
Cincinnati
Minnesota
Penn State (tier 1 talent)
Northwestern

Notre Dame - Tier 2
Boise St
NC State
Navy
Pitt

Neither schedule is great and neither team should be in with a 10-2 record and those schedules IMO.
I mean Miami and TnM are in a whole different tier than the rest of these schedules. ND going 12-0 without breaking a sweat vs DONU schedule.

Sure, but that is ignoring the fact that they lost to the only good teams they played, lol. Congrats on losing to good teams ND, here is your playoff spot

If Nebraska was 10-2 with losses to Michigan and USC, we probably wouldn't be in either.

Notre Dame beat

9-3 USC (7-2)
8-4 Pitt (6-2)
7-5 NC St (4-4)
4-8 Stanford (3-5)
3-9 Syracuse (1-7)
2-10 BC (1-7)
2-10 Arkansas (0-8)
2-10 Purdue (0-9)

G5

Navy
Boise St

So they beat the worst team in the SEC, the worst team in the Big Ten, and the 2 teams tied for the worst in the ACC/

I don't think they should've gotten in. I agree with the committee. I just think ragging on ND for their schedule is ironic.

Cake walk schedule

I don’t even think they should’ve got in, but acting like they play some crazy easy schedule is just not true. They play like a mid 40s SOS. It is also not their fault USC is pussies.
The SOS is greatly influenced by their first two games, which they lost both.

MOU don’t really hold up in court right?
CFP can still do whatever the fuck they want
Generally no, MOU's are more of a statement of intent.

However with certain wording as well as parties involved it can become a binding agreement.

How exactly is that ironic? So because Nebraska had a weak schedule, we’re suddenly banned from pointing out other teams’ weak schedules? Interesting logic.

Nebraska fans aren’t throwing a tantrum about being left out of the playoff—Notre Dame is. Nobody’s pretending NU had a tough schedule; that’s not even part of the discussion. You dragged that into it. The real gripe is that Notre Dame had a cupcake schedule, lost to the only “good” teams they faced, and now expects a gold star for it. And somehow, they’ve got a special clause from the CFP committee giving them preferential treatment going forward—much to the delight of ND fans and the annoyance of every other team.

I fail to see what Nebraska’s schedule has to do with Notre Dame’s playoff worthiness.
