He's a Southerner

It is a 100% certainty he is a descendant of Confederate Major General Gideon Johnson Pillow of Tennessee

I can believe that.

I’ve lived in the South for the last twenty years or so and can confirm they will come up with some very…...interesting names.

GT has the #19 rushing offense, #5 fewest sacks, and he seems to be a decent recruiter. What were you looking for, exactly?

Alex Gibbs.

I’m kidding of course, but a large percentage of our fanbase feels like we either get the best guy ever, or we’re not serious about winning.

No. No I didn’t.

US History was a very, very long time ago for me and at some point a lot of that information was replaced with football statistics, bourbon tastings and women.
I am the history wonk your parents warned you about.

I peaked at a Gturd game last night. Hopefully he can bring some of their O ideas here. Pretty standard for blocking schemes in the run game. IZ/OZ. His OL created movement. Saw some gap scheme as well. Quite a bit of screen game in the few clips I watched.

I was looking for someone with experience in the Big Ten that knows the landscape. No offense but the ACC is no Big Ten the defenses are far better in the Big Ten than that of the ACC.

Goodness. I'm guessing you would have said the same thing about Cignetti's OL coach before Indiana and that OL seemed to do just fine...

Got it from GT’s bio of him. Not only his parents but his dad’s parents, his grand parents, his great grand parents, and his great great grandparents. 4 generations have had the name.

Him and his wife put an end to the insanity

Someone in that family made the smart decision that unless you want to work at Cockeye, naming your kids after heroes of the confederacy might not be the best introduction to some of your players.
