Breaking Dylan Raiola Heisman Watch

I'm extremely skeptical that 2.89 seconds would rack 108th.

"The average time for an NFL quarterback to throw the ball varies, but is generally under 3 seconds, with many sources citing figures like 2.78 seconds for a league-wide average and a threshold of 2.5 seconds to define a "quick pass". "

@Carm has done some further analysis on this that shows this talking head knows not of what they speak. I’ll let him post it if he’d like.

Very interesting given her critique of Raiola (2.78 seconds is too long to hold onto the ball)

LOL

Dylan is 42 here because I eliminated P4 QBs with less than 45 attempts. That left 73 in P4. He's 107 with everyone who has thrown a pass included.

In fact, Dylan holds onto the ball less than a lot of guys she ranked above him:

E.g., Sorsby, Sayin, #1 Maiava, Simpson, Williams, Daniels, Castellanos, Mensah, Morris
(I am using the average time to throw analytic from PFF)

85% of Dylan's throws are released in 2,5 seconds or less - only 18 guys have a higher percentage under 2.5 seconds

She says Dylan "takes forever to throw"

(This chart is to eliminate everyone with fewer throws than anyone in her top 25, so Dylan moves up to 39)

Not sure - it came from espn. Sorsby is #6
