So just a question. Did your stop occur at 2:00 am in a pretty big crime area? First time with my sister in law was 2:00 am in East St Louis. She was coming off a sting where she was under cover posing as a hooker.

The other time was just normal day in business attire.

Daylight hours and not in a high crime area, so yeah completely different environment...2AM in East STL I'd expect to be asked to slowly exit the vehicle while keeping my hands visible, maybe even drawn down on while exiting considering the variables. I'm a bit surprised they didn't have your SIL at least get out of the car so they could check things out, especially if she was still dressed in costume for the sting. Gotta believe that full disclosure of a weapon in the car starts things off on the right foot.

I think we can all agree that being a cop is a difficult job and if cops were to have to make a mistake and maybe engage in a sketch shooting, Jim should absolutely be the victim
