This sport is no longer "they're just college kids playing a sport you love to watch," but a get paid while playing it while your college is free. Now everything you say or do is a representation of the school and sport. If you want to shit talk a school, better back it up or its free game.

He should keep his mouth shut. I have a brother who posts something political on Facebook and is shocked when people disagree with him. I am not going to take to twitter and start a back and forth with him, but his comment was simply stupid.

I've always found it strange for adults to follow college athletes on social media, tweet at them, interpret their social media musings, etc.

I'm a huge football fan but have my boundaries of fandom.
