I mean there isnt much going on in the state. Would think that would be easy to scrape together with no facilities or other needs. Guess we’re just boned.
Are you saying they'd rather spend money on the transfer portal? The money is there. But the will to spend it on 18-20 year olds is not. Our major donors (and other wealthy non-donating Nebraskans) have the money, they’re just principled to a fault.
Seems like Rhule is working this through the media just like he did when we were after DR and he said in a press conference QBs are $1mm+ (or whatever the number was) per year so if we want a QB time to pay up. It’s unfortunate this hasn't been addressed. The money is there. But the will to spend it on 18-20 year olds is not. Maybe we are flipping a guy in the 2026 class (Fawcett post)?
Id take Trae over him and Thomalla all day.. understand its two years out.Prediction: Missouri to land 4-star 2027 QB

Missouri could be on the verge of adding another big-time quarterback to the mix.
Braylen Warrenis one of the top quarterbacks in the country for the 2027 recruiting cycle. The Omaha (Neb.) Westside signal-caller burst onto the scene after passing for 2,105 yards, 30 touchdowns and just eight interceptions during his sophomore season.
Warren was at the Border War on Missouri’s sideline against Kansas a few weeks ago.
I doubt Thomalla is getting paid much. He is one of two QBs in their 2026 class, and Bama took this guy in the 2025 class. How much do you pay a guy to be a back-up?Id take Trae over him and Thomalla all day.. understand its two years out.
is Warren or Thomalla better than Dylan.2? also what are Missouri and Alabama payin these kids for comparison?
I was told by a coach in the area Warren is a good talent, but would qualify as a slow blinker. Basically, expect him to do about as much as any other QB that has come out of Nebraska the last couple of decades.Prediction: Missouri to land 4-star 2027 QB

“Yeah, I go on a call with them (Missouri) probably once every week just catching up and stuff,” Warren told Rivals before that visit. “But I also like them a lot. Kinda the same thing as K-State, I like the program and coaching staff a lot at Missouri.”
Warren told me what his impressions were after attending that game.
“I really loved the environment of the rivalry and how into the game the fans were. And I really liked how the offense was run.”
I’m placing a prediction for Missouri to land the commitment of the blue-chip quarterback from Nebraska. There are a few big factors driving this prediction. The Tigers have been consistently on Warren since he was on campus in mid-June for the Tigers’ second and final Elite Camp of the summer.
That camp was focused on quarterbacks. It was then that Missouri made its communication clear with Warren on how the staff saw him fitting the system and working with the staff.
Warren also tells me that Missouri is recruiting him the hardest right now of all the schools that are interested in him. That list includes Kansas, Kansas State, Cockeye State and Wisconsin.
An announcement is not expected to be made quickly. Warren will visit Cockeye soon but will likely return to Missouri for another game day visit this season.
I wouldn’t even bother comparing Dayton to any of them. Dayton pretty much has to be a take as long as Dylan is here. Kinda sucks we’re potentially burning the QB spot for a class but is what it is I guess.Id take Trae over him and Thomalla all day.. understand its two years out.
