I know eventually you have to take a job but man… not sure I love UCLA being a first time head coach’s hire after the DF hire, short leash, lack of resources and administrative alignment, competition in the league, etc. It’s basically everything Rhule warns against when taking a gig

Foster was just not a good hire. He had never held a position higher than RB coach.

I don’t know if they were so scarred by the Chip Kelly experience that they wanted someone with no profile whatsoever, but that was not a hire to make your team relevant.

I get the idea of hiring a ucla guy who actually gives a shit about the program. But they have got to be more serious with this one.

Really too bad he couldn’t wait in Lincoln for one more season. This year could have been more wild.

I also don't see UCLA going with a first time HC. TW would not be a good fit for either side.
