Bo had an unreal run of 4 star QB recruits from 2008-2013... He had Spano, Green, Carnes, Turner, Starling, and Stanton all 4 stars. His only 3 star QB recruits during that time were Taylor Martinez and Tommy Armstrong.

Interesting to look back at that.

I do wonder how we will look at Rhule's run in hindsight because those QBs ended up

Spano: no clue
Green: bad starter, transfer to Tulsa
Carnes: UNI
Turner: ok WR
Starling: pro baseball/victim of burnouts in his driveway
Stanton: NFL fullback
T Magic and Tommy: good starters

What was the name of the backup tight end on a New Mexico high school team that they offered a scholly to to play QB for us?

I agree with all of this… besides Raiola I’m not sure we can say it’s a great recruiting run with four stars committed based on four star QBs we’ve brought in in the past.

You’re thinking of Kevin Dillman who didn’t even play varsity football for Denton-Guyer down in Texas after transferring in from Sweden. He was committed and when Langsdorf got here he gave the “what the fuck is this”

That's it. I just remember enjoying the Bobots trying to justify the offer and the rest of us laughing at them and being sad and pissed off all at the same time.

So I was a Bo fan... I can go on a long rant about how I wish he would have got what he asked for to see what he could have done for us, because Mike Riley actually got more than what Bo was asking for.

That said, that was a terrible offer and I said so at the time.
