Flood Ashland Bitches

Good lord, while I understand the need to proceed forward carefully and responsibly, the number of committees and different groups involved in this project is a clear example of why it’s almost impossible to get things done in government.

And just when you think you’ve cut through all the state, local and federal red tape… (fees, forms, lawyers, inspectors, surveyors, estimators, committees and legal protocols) Then the fucking activists come in and put the breaks on it. I swear, it’s only by the sheer will and perseverance of determined individuals that anything gets done.

Sorry that you don't know how to take projects from ideation to completion while engaging relevant stakeholders and constituencies while optimizing on deliverables and not letting perfect be the enemy of good

"Let's make a lake as nice as the nicest lake in Cockeye" seems like a failed premise from the get go. #BelchToot

So… I used to be pro flood. But I recently spent a weekend in Ashland and I really loved it. They have a nice little downtown with restaurants and shops. And the town is right by the Platte river and a number of small/medium sized lakes. It was really quite lovely…

That being said, I’d still probably flood their asses if I get a piece of that new beach front property. Yeah definitely.

When flood Ashland was in the works it was complete garbage. They've gotten better.

Let's start small and drown @Jim14510 in his bathtub and if we like how that feels, then flood Ashland

I envision my daughter enjoying this lake someday, when she is a great grandmother.

Buddy I’m a management consultant. Of course I don’t know how to do that.
