I see Dayton finishing a high 3 star low 4 star at best. Nothing wrong with it, he's a couple years behind his brother in development so coming in and RS etc. Is going to do him well.

If he has a monster season at Buford, which I expect he will, his rating will jump exponentially. A lot of these national recruiting scouts seem to have some good egos on them and hate being wrong. I don't think they'd want to be wrong and lowball the brother of another former top 5 recruit.

I will say I don't think I have ever seen a returning starter QB move up 4.5 or 5 points in the ratings in their senior year. I think there is a very good chance it is unprecedented or close to it.

We are all speculating of course, and what I am about to say is also just my speculation, but I do not think there is any way he ends up playing in front of a healthy Trae Taylor.
