Happy Father's Day to all who celebrate

Have you been to Bourbon Street? I think they do boils as well and was curious how it compared.
I have been to bourbon street, but didn't eat there. We ate some other places and I had softshell crab and jambalaya. I never tried it they way they do it at Laughing Crab. Laughing Crab boils the sauces with the food, so you have it all over the crab and use the juices at the bottom of the plate for dipping. Really messy, but also really good.

Happy Father's Day Goskers and others.

Meeting my adult kids/wife at Surfside on the Missouri river north of Omaha. Music, sun, food, beverages and Sunday fun day.
We kept driving and went to Pop-N-Doc’s in Decatur. Mrs. LHR loves their walleye, and my son and I enjoyed delicious burgers.

Hope the corn fritters at the Surfside were as good I remember them. Happy Father’s Day, amigo.

I've eaten at the steakhouse in Decatur before, but I have not heard of Pop-N-Docs. Looks like a fun place.
We've also dined at the "Green Lantern". Pop-N-Doc's is VERY casual. A mix of regular diners, boaters and motorcycle riders, but everyone comes for the grub and a few stay for the "pain killers" (their signature outdoor bar drink). Give it a whirl sometime and let me know what you think.

I’m from the area, and unfortunately as of right now The green lantern is only a bar - no food at all. They are trying to sell it, and rumor around the area is it has sold but nobody has any concrete information. Pop n docs is always a nice little choice for bar food (I love the Alaskan walleye) The pain killers aren’t what they used to be when I first moved back home from college, they have gotten a little sweeter. We used to go boating all day on the river and then stop in and grab four or five, now one MAYBE 2 is the max for a night. I will say though that was nearly 20 years ago when I first moved home though I can’t drink like I used to lol. Buddy of mines wife likes the “dirty brook” which is just half pain killer and half margarita, I’m not a fan of that one.
