It came down to the pitchers with injuries, trying to play without your Friday guy, Tuckers Face kept him out J-Dub trying to pitch with duct tape holding his shoulder together, and Brockett and Clark sore week to week.
I can personally attest to J-Dub getting 12 hours of treatment Mon-Thursday to try to be ready for every weekend.

Brockett and Clark was less but they were in there as well.

These boys put more on the line than you realize.

Drew Christo gets a ton of shit but when the injuries hit he demanded the ball every day even when he was dog tired and knew his stats would suffer.

I have maintained that Cockeye is terrible and I hold that position firmly.

I watched every pitch of our series with them. We were ass at that point. But Cockeye was not much better than us at all.

If you looked at Cockeye playing UCLA this weekend there was a clear difference in even how UCLA looked vs Cockeye.

UCLA has guys who actually look like ball players. Cockeye has guys who look like the ones that moved my new refrigerator into my house from NFM.

No offense to furniture movers or guys who work at NFM.

Or, hear me out, that trip is what made our season because the whole team was so focused on the beach and slaying beaver out in Cali that they got it out of their system prior to the tourney and now we are completely focused. These boys are focused on baseball instead of slaying beaver
