Rhule is fed up with the media members, lol. I truly can't believe that guy asked about walking the tight rope on in-state recruiting. Do these guys not understand that Nebraska high school football is a joke? It's so frustrating. If someone in the state is good enough to play at Nebraska and is a need, they will take em. It's really that simple. Rant over.
It's why we can't have nice things. Rhule has been more than forthcoming with information compared to other coaches. From the first spring presser you can tell he has been a little more irritable. I think the whole Raiola weightgate thing might have pushed him over the edge. Just waiting for the full Pelini from him now.

Something has to be done. If they run Rhule off before we are consistently good, it'll be the death of Nebraska football.

IDK. I thought it was a pretty obvious question to ask. We all thought it was great to see how Rhule and staff made in-state coaches feel welcome and paid attention to after they were apparently give the cold shoulder by previous staff/staffs. He placed a huge emphasis on in-state players in his first couple of classes. And now that we've gone back to (or have been forced to) offering very few in-state players, Rhule probably has to go about that tactfully.

That said, I thought Rhule gave a great answer. Basically, Nebraka is playing in the Power 2 now, and you can't afford to take a flyer on a freshman or sophomore with potential anymore. You need to see them prove it as upperclassmen when they're closer to what they're going to be. Like he said, "They need to help us beat Ohio State." Mid-major leagues like the Big 12 have to take those flyers and Hope being early pays off when Power 2 teams come in later.
