Assuming that rover spot is something where we'll be looking at the portal to help with, as Gifford is done, and the dude behind him was a freshman apparently not judged to be good enough to be an improvement or get significant PT, even with all of Giff's issues.

Now that you mention it, he would be a perfect replacement for Giff. He’s played both LB and safety at NDSU.

I feel like he might have been told to move on. I think Rhule wants Lenhardt/McGahee/Princewill on the field together next season more often then not. All 3 of them offer more upside than Jimari.

Yeah, this one only shocks me since he said he was going to come back. Maybe it wasn't mutual.

I wouldn't mind the younger kids getting more time, especially since Butler hadn't really shown much all season outside of the Ohio State game.
