I’m watching South Carolina vs AtM and I’m pissed either way

South Carolina is a mediocre team. They have an identity. They can rip off big plays at opportune times. They have playmakers and a competent line.

Texas AtM - frankly I thought they’d be quite mediocre this year. And I’m not even convinced they are actually good - they beat a LSU team that USC beat, and then ole Miss? BUT - they rise to the occasion over and over. They perform when it matters most under a first year head coach.

These are 2 teams that are progressing through the year. Why do we have to get worse as the season goes?

Why do we not have the capability to run competent plays if 1 fucking person gets hurt? Why can we not break anything? Why does God hate us?

And MOST OF ALL - why for the LOVE OF GOD do I have a feeling when I watch EVERY single mediocre team or better across America, that when they go for it on 4th down from the 5 yard line that they will punch it in, and when I watch us in the same scenario I know I’m going to see some shitty, slow developing, move our QB into an against his body throw that gets picked or he’s sacked every damn time?

Back home. Just fuckin sad man. I no longer have any trust or hope in this program as it’s currently constructed.

I have an Cockeye diploma and have every reason to tune out. Did briefly during the Riley years. It is getting progressively more difficult to care about this. Care takes hope. I don’t have any great memories. The team has been ass since I’ve been sentient. Even still, I have a burn in my soul for this program. Just give me a fucking reason. Give me a crumb of success. I am begging for a reason to hang on.

Trying to rationalize the things this program does is utterly exhausting. I’m glad most of the board has snapped back to reality for now. Gonna be fun to shit on any optimism all offseason after another 5-7 finish.
