They need to just sit the two deep and let the walk ons play a full game with real timing rules, penalties, tackling, etc. Winners get a roster spot and a celebratory steak dinner, losers get beans and wieners and a greyhound ticket back to wherever they came from.
Would be a lot more entertaining than watching the top units go at each other 50%.

Is it weird that I'm hungry for beans and wieners now? That was my comfort food at grandmas house and it is good. Chop up the wieners, mix them in w the beans, and Mac and cheese on the side.
