Big 12 has gotta be pushing hard to get an autobid before they fade away. Right now they look strong because Cincy and BYU are having good years, Baylor has struck gold again on a good coach. But as the money starts to dry up, they are going to be the AAC.

Big 12 defenders that look at the current rankings fail to factor in that Cinci would have probably had 2 or 3 losses playing in the Big 12 and BYU/Houston would probably have had 3 or 4 losses had they played in the Big 12. Not to mention the possibility that OSUjr/Baylor each might have 1 additional loss.


I mean Cincinnati almost lost 6 times to shithole schools. Same with Houston/BYU. (BYU went 1-2 vs the only good teams they played)



None of this matters however when discussing the future of the Conference in terms of revenue generated. The Big 12 is dying and I hope it’s a painful death.

The Big 12 is as good as dead. Without OU/UT they will generate zero TV interest even by adding the teams they are. No network will give them a good deal compared to what the other conferences are getting.
