So let’s logically walk through this:

We had someone in one of our group chats say that they heard Josh Lynn was coming to NU as an OL/RGC. That was Friday night. Which was the same day that interviews with Raiola and Quinn happened. So it sounds like Frost thought Lynn was his guy after all interviews were done and offered him the position. Lynn either said “Yes. Let me tell UNK” or “Let me think about it over the weekend.”

Something clearly changed from Friday night to now. Either UNK ponied up to keep him or Lynn had a change of heart and said no.
Lynn has to take the line job if it’s offered. There is no way you stay at unk.

No way UNK could pay him enough. Must have been something else. Maybe another name popped up for Nebraska?

I did hear he might have turned us down. That makes no sense to me though

Something clearly changed from Friday to now. Especially now that he’s got a 3 year deal from UNK to sign. From there? Your guess is as good as mine.

I’m guessing it would be cold feet on Frost’s end if it was that close to happening.

It makes complete sense if you believe in yourself as a head coach and your abilities more than you believe in the place offering you the job. Especially if you’re possibly out of a job a year later.

I mean last offseason wasn’t you going to UNL to get tips, it was then coming to you.

If you’re at the D ll level and you can get a job as line coach at Nebraska you take it especially if you’re looking move on to bigger and better things.

I do believe the information that Garrett got to have been factual at the time we received the information. So I do think this was close at one point to being done. What happened? I don’t know.

I don’t like @TraditionCoalition at all, but he’s had reasons to post what he’s been posting on RSS about Lynn.

I'm so confused by this name and the Bears assistant OL coach.

What is Frost doing?

Why is he not over paying for a proven P5 OL coach that can come in and recruit high level kids day 1?

Didn't he just have to fire half a staff of Josh Lynn's?

If it was Lynn was Frost going to an option attack? Did he change his mind? Because like you talked about in the other thread why bring in MJ then?

If you’re dumb enough to turn down Offensive Line coach at DONU to stay at Kearney then you aren’t worthy.

JFC. The claim that he’s choosing to stay at UNK over a Big Ten coordinator position is dumbfounding. Or maybe he’s just content.

But if you’re trying to advance in your career you take this jump every day of the week

I think Lynn can hold his own coaching wise. The big question would come back to recruiting with him? Hell one of best line coaches ever was at McCook high school before Osborne gave him a shot.

He left his hometown and alma mater which was the same level of football to come to UNK, so I’m guessing he wants to move up.
