YoutubeTV/ESPN

This feels a lot like Disney/ABC trying to steal away a bunch of subscribers to their new ESPN app. Let's fail to come to terms with YTTV right when our $30/mo app is about to launch. What a coincidence.
That’s what it’s about. They are jacking YTTV’s price higher than other streaming and cable providers.

I went back to FUBO tv this year - they had a good discount for the first 5 months for returning customers. Serves the purpose for what I use it for in football and basketball season.
Cancel after basketball season.

They are the best for sports but I love the split screen with YTTV. I also think YYTV has the best interface. I tried every streaming service for cable channels back in the day. I hated Hulu’s interface.

Yeah - I miss the split screen with YouTube TV but for as little as I use a streaming service outside of sports the extra $25 a month savings was worth it. Next year I’ll probably just get the FOX/ESPN combo

The other thing that pulled me in with YouTubetv was the locals and you got NET which I like because they show the high school football championships and local stuff

If you're interested, I'd get one now. The next release of the Firestick will have a completely different OS on it and won't allow for sideloading apps like the ones I use to watch just about everything for free.

I think the Firestick is Android based, correct?

Just get the top of the line Nvidia Shield. Yes, their "newest" Shield is like 6 years old, but these things still work great. DL and install any Android app you want. Has two USB ports for loading movies or whatever and play them through the Shield. Nvidia Shield has AI upconverting, and it works surprisingly well. Can take a 720p vid and make it look damn good.

There are obviously lots of other, newer, Android based streaming boxes, but Nvidia actually supports the Shield really well still. I hope they come out with an updated version.

Wow, looks like this shit still isn’t resolved.

I already had the Disney bundle for Hulu, Disney Plus and ESPN plus (for PGA tour), so I went ahead and just added ESPN unlimited. It was like $6 extra. I’ll re-evaluate my options if they don’t get this figured out soon. Still will have YTTV through the end of football season for Sunday ticket though.
