Who was your pick to be NU QB1 in 2026?

Which means TJ is entering the transfer portal. Therefore he cannot be anyone's 1st pick to be starting QB.
Never doubted it would ‘colander’ for a minute. Spread option T-Mart part two…
The poll is who was the best choice out of all of those realistic (key word) options
TJ Lateef was an option
Minchey was an option
Chiles was an option
Pribula was an option
Lagway I assume was an option
I wanted Chiles
I still want Chiles
my other guy I was hoping for was Jaden Craig. Thought he was really good at Harvard
If he's not going to be here, it's difficult for TJ to be a choice.
HOWEVER...that was a cynical, serious, non-serious comment because of the portal chaos.
I had to be honest, I thought Munchy would be a good fit here. I did think the UNLV QB would be interesting. After watching UNLV QB film closer…he is an upgrade over Munchy.

He'd be very smart to stay positive and stay here. Colandrea is a 1 yr guy. He's been a 3 yr starter. I think TJ will learn something from him this year.
Colandrea appears to be a team first guy. I think Dylan was probably a good mentor but the fact that Dylan wouldn't throw the ball away (to protect his completion %) really irks me. That's a poor leadership trait to pass down.
BTW - one thing I'm super stoked about in 2026 is not having to watch a QB take 7 sacks bc he was protecting his 72% completion rate. That'll be awesome
I admittedly had never seen film of Colandrea until after Minchey decommitted. I think Minchey will be very good this year.
I'm probably 51-49 Colandrea. Minchey is certainly the better pro prospect but Colandrea has the intangibles that NU needs in a QB.
Also will be great to have a 3-yr starter out there who will be very confident in his actions. We haven't had that for a long time.
Probably not at all realistic, but I’m pretty sure he would’ve gotten some votes. I think Sorsby is/was the best QB in the portal, but I also don’t think there’s a huge margin between 1-10 this year.
There’s a lot to like about Colandrea, other than his name sounding like a rare Central African bacterial infection. But in all seriousness, he looks like a gamer, a high level competitor and I love that in a QB. If we can put enough quality players around him we might be good enough next year to back me away from the ledge.
