Besides her being a really good athlete and player, the thing that sucks most about this is there will be fewer close ups of Whitney Lauenstein during volleyball matches, I assume.

It wouldn't surprise me to see her re-join the team some time down the road. Gotta be rough recently losing her father but she just seemed to enjoy playing far too much for me to believe she can just walk away from a sport she has dedicated her life to.
