There were a lot of reasons he was fired. I don’t think it’s fair to say 9 wins isn’t enough. But no better than 9 and 4 with no marked progress against the conference’s elite teams over a 7 year period is certainly not good enough.

One step further, it’s certainly unacceptable to lose a game or two per year to a team half as good as you are.

Bo’s tenure at Nebraska was on the up in 2010. Look at the 2011 recruiting class as it was ranked by the services. That was his first big time class and it appeared we were turning a corner. Then Harvey Pearlman calls Bo out in the papers without even talking to Bo and all of a sudden all of that progress was gone.
