I kind of get the premise of not switching the whole offense up over night. Going from Solich to Callahan’s offense was brutal at first. Bo kept Watson for some continuity when he took over. Riley’s offense didn’t work very well going from spread to pro style, but you’re at a point now we haven’t been to a bowl in 5 years so it doesn’t matter.

If Frost and Co have done anything is that they have generally brought in talent, the talent has been coached like shit, but a competent coach with a majority of those players could easily get to a bowl game. Also, after the first two games what are the chances that anyone puts Nebraska getting to 7 wins or more, like 5%....if you are feeling generous. My only concern is Nebraska gets to 6 or god forbid 5 wins and they retain Frost, then Turd loses all credibility in my eyes especially now that the AD's finances are in a much better position that 10 months ago when he renegotiated Frost's contract to lower the buy out by 10 million.

I think the fear of change is the assumption that there's still a big rebuilding process with change. The way college football is now a good coach can turn the program around quick.

In fact, successful coaches have almost always affected quick turnarounds. It's the examples of guys who suddenly figured it out in year 5 or 6 who are exceedingly difficult to find (perhaps largely due to the fact that no decent program would put up with what NU has decided it is OK with from Frost).
