What happened to rock music?

What happened to rock music?

There are still some good bands out there but not like it was.

Rock bands became convinced by the record labels to produce ballads and top 40 crap in the late 80's and they got away from making good music. MTV and the radio stations wouldn't play it anymore. Same thing for Heavy Metal, it gave way to the stupid Hair Bands for their mainstream appeal.

-The David Lee Roth version of Van Halen became the cheesy Sammie Hagar synthesizer version.
-Aerosmith made bad songs for bad movies.
-Heavy Metal gave way to Faster Pussycat, Kix, Poisson, and that other stupid hair band shit.
-Same thing for Grunge rock - it started with Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, etc, and it became Limp Bizkit, Creed and Nickelback.
70's Aero was arguably my GOAT band but the crap they put out soon after that 🤮

I listen mostly to rock music and a lot of it is fairly new. You just have to work to find it because it’s not on the radio.

Hell I just bought tickets to a rock concert in Lincoln for a newer band at PBA and tickets were selling for up to $400 each.

So how was it? Still got it? How was the stadium sound mix?

We had a good time.
Hung out in a suite for the food and drink for Pretty Reckless.
Then we were in the PIT so sound was good where we were.
Not sure about the floor behind us nor the seating.
I have never complained about big rock show sound at the Rose Bowl (Pink Floyd and Metallica prior)
I will NEVER go to another show at Dodger Stadium tho, the worst.

The band?
They're old now, and thats OK.
Still 20+ great AC/DC rockers for 2+ hours
