Here's a crazy scheduling quirk:

Nebraska has only hosted 12 Big Ten night games since joining the league.

Nebraska has traveled, as a Big Ten road visitor under the lights on 25 different occasions since entering the Big Ten.

Nebraska has played road night games at Cockeye twice and Minnesota three times. Purdue has hosted Nebraska 4 times under the lights. The Huskers have never hosted night games vs either team.

The USC game will only be the 2nd Big Ten home night game played under Matt Rhule. The previous one was the Illinois Friday night overtime loss last season.

Outside of Nebraska's 2017 team hosting Ohio State and Wisconsin in back to back night home games and the 2019 home night shellacking vs Ohio State, Nebraska has been largely competitive in these games. Huskers are 8-4 in those games.

This will also only be the 2nd Nebraska Home night game played in November. The previous one?

Tommy Armstrong Yolo game vs Michigan State in 2015. Thats also the last time Nebraska beat a top 10 team.

I don't really care about USC's lack of success on the road, under the lights, because Nebraska is notorious for bucking trends vs opponents. You know what I mean... if a team can't run the ball, they suddenly run it vs Nebraska. If a QB can't ever win on the road, he does it vs Nebraska. So no point even referencing those facts.

But it is interesting that Nebraska is only going to host their 13th league game under the lights.

Yeah I find it funny that Cockeye gets a night game last year and now our home game gets slid to 11 am. But this is not on purpose though. 🤦
