the guys I listed are all from the last two months, so I am assuming most of them were taken because of roster needs

I agree with this now.

I think we take the top ones and let the rest of them go play at regional schools around Nebraska. They are going to develop faster actually participating and playing games. The ones that end up being good we can recruit through the transfer portal. It's a built in farm system that should benefit everyone.

25 Walk-ons is more than enough to help with practice and culture.

Thought I read there was another walk on OL from the same team as Borchers. Dylan Parrott.

It looks like Rhule is already trimming down the roster. If you look at this year's roster vs last year's there is already significantly less walk-ons then before.

Frost opened up the flood gates because it was “The Nebraska Way”. In reality, these extra guys got no practice reps meaning no development. It was a drag on resources and not fair to these walk-ons who thought they would be given a shot.

Rhule as I recall wanted the roster to be in the neighborhood of 120 or less.

Based on what we could all see, under Frost, even the back up QB didn't get reps in practice so......the Walk-ons were probably pulling their dicks all day.
